Mary, Mother of Mercy

Mary, Mother of Mercy, a maple wood carved sculpture, handcrafted and hand painted.
Her arms are open, thus welcoming her children and inviting all for prayers.
Her dress is pastel pink and in the middle of the body you notice a heart encircled by golden glimmers, a great heart, capable of loving and forgiving, of donating its Mercy.
Her veil is of the same color as the dress and her mantle is yellow and blue.
In this sculpture, Mary crushes the snake, the evil which has an apple in front of the mouth, a sign of the original sin.
The foundation of the statue is represented by a starry dome.
