In Val Gardena the tradition of wood carving shows a long centuries history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sculpting sacred figures to adorn churches, that was the beginning.\nOnly times later, toys and smaller figures were designed for homes and everyday’s life as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entire families devoted themselves to wood art; men sculpted in the workshop, women back home painted the figures joined by daughters and staging girls. Down the way, the work was quite increasing! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, women could combine household with the job and basically support the family as well.\n\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Further, these art works get milled at a rough stage with the help of a pantograph by using prime wood selections only.
